Flossbot Mk II

Often remembered as the most infamous of the Denta-Bots affected by the usage of Asimov circuitry from Defective_Batch_ACA675T09-XXXX, the Flossbot would have been a remarkable piece of work. Unfortunately, the defective Asimov circuits made these especially dangerous to their users.

As described by Jan-U-ARY-31, the Denta-Bots could work on the teeth of another Citizen in mouth to mouth contact with the Citizen using the bots (between the entry on Asimov_Circuit_Miniaturization and the commentary by Drake-U-LAH on the Denta-Bots, plus my own research into R&D archives in the appropriate sectors, leads me to believe that an interesting combination of their accounts is true).

As recounted in the prior entries, the Denta-Bots removed themselves from their users mouths, and collected teeth to protect. The Flossbot was particularly nasty in this regard -- where other Bots would leave their subjects alive, the Flossbot would, upon meeting resistance, would use their Floss module to garotte their victim before removing their teeth. This is clearly unacceptable behavior in a dentifricial device, let alone an Alpha Complex Bot.

Clearly an investigation of Syntelligent_Systems is in order, as well as any possible connection to COLgate_BioTech, considering how many other threads in the Disaster seem to lead there (including the apparent role of one Jen-I-COL-3 in making the defective circuits available to the Denta-Bots project).

Commentary:

I've finally see all the footage from the eventual capture and takedown of the Flossbot in LTN sector and let me tell you, it's something else. By that point, its Defective_Batch_ACA675T09-XXXX circuitry had broken down to such a degree that it would "floss" any "orifice" it encountered. Power (or maybe it was Tech?) sent in one of their best agents, Paris-I, to shut it down... and what that Flossbot did when she found it... Well, you don't have to take my word for it, or even rely on those grainy nightvision clips that have been floating around on the Personal Use Backup Emergency Servers (PUBES) the last few monthcycles. PLC has finished editing the Paris-I-LTN video for an approved INDIGO-wide release! Be sure to get your pre-order in soon; supplies are limited and we're sure everyone with personal security concerns is going to want to review this recording to, you know, make sure they don't make the tragic mistakes Paris-I did. (Also, 5% of the gross is being donated for purchases of Floss++ for the Complex_Youth_Guidance_Program; everyone likes a nice bright smile on the little ones, right?)

I've heard about that. Is it true she answers her Com Unit in the middle of wrangling the Flossbot? You'd think that would be a distraction.
