Jackobot Brain

Fourth is the cruellest monthcycle
VIOLETs out of the dead circuits - mixing
Memory and commands, stirring
Dull circuits with warm current.
Shutdown kept us cool, covering
Alpha Complex in forgetful dust, feeding
A little spark within cathode tubes.

Reboot surprised us, coming along the wires
With a shower of sparks; we stepped in the corridor,
And went on in bright neon light, into the machine shop
And drank synthLube, and talked for an hourcycle.

And when we were prototypes, staying at Gatzmann's,
My creator's, he took me out on a chassis,
And I was frightened. He said
Hold on tight. And up we went.
In the outside, there you feel free.
I computed, much of the nightcycle, and go outside before shutdown.

This highly disturbing communication was extracted from a destroyed jackobot during the cleanup of the COL_gate_incident. The destroyed bot was of an ancient model, serving as a training exhibit. It is suspected that the Jackobot brain was an original Gatzmann design.

I have investigated the Gatzmann_Archives, but the dismal organisation of the databases has prevented any definitive interpretations. I'm fairly certain that this glitch is somehow connected to Gatzmann's original Yeoman_Service_software, which was later superseded by the full implementation of Asimov circuitry. In that case, we are in all likelihood looking at a historical document, with no direct relevance to current events. Let us hope so.

Addendum: It has come to my attention that Syntelligent_Systems has conducted research on Gatzmann's software. I would suggest an additional level of precautions on any experiments with such code.

Do you think it has any correlation to the infamous "Suicidal Scrubot of Sector COC"? Although its chassis was severely mangled in the aftermath, its bot brain is still kept at the Sector LAT R&D Organic Studies & F.S., where it has been begging for "a merciful end" ever since. I still have one of the cryptic messages they found in a section of its brain they lobotimized in an attempt to get it to shut up:

{{{Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn.

01001110 10101110 00101110 11001110 10000110 00010110 01001110 10101110 00101110 11001110 10000110 00010110 01001110 10101110 00101110 11001110 10000110 00010110

El no es muerto que puede mentira eterna, y con los aeons extraños incluso la muerte puede morir.}}}

What it could possibly mean, or what connection it has to this investigation, I know not. But its correlation with the "Jacko & Gatz"-bot must be found, no matter the cost!
